California Electronic Blood Lead Reporting Security and Data Transmission Upgrades

Project Timeline: 7/1/2006 - 6/30/2008

In partnership with California Department of Public Health (formerly Department of Health Services) and the CDC, Sequoia Foundation staff made security and data transmission updates to the WebCollect application. WebCollect is a system that receives, parses, and maps laboratory submitted data files for conversion and transmits for processing into California’s statewide web-based childhood lead poisoning surveillance system. The system receives data from over 220 laboratories throughout the country that conduct lead testing on California's residents.
